Hontown Meltdown Skateboard Contest

Regina Skateboarding Coalition presents the “Honktown Meltdown” skateboard contest! To be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Heritage Skateboard Park in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Cash prizes totalling $2500 are up for grabs! This in addition to prizes including footwear, clothing, decks, wheels and more! Many thanks for the support from the following organizations: McMorris Foundation, Supra Distribution (Spitfire, Krooked and Chocolate), Grand Trading (Polar, Last Resort and Alien Workshop), Colonialism Skateboards and the Tiki Room.

Age categories are 13+ under, 14-16, women/LGBTQ, and an open category. Entry fee is $10.

Schedule:
– opening ceremony is at 10am
– 13 & under starts at 11am
– womens/LGBTQ category starts 12pm
– 14-16 starts 1pm
– open category/best trick starts at 2pm

Registration is available online.

Helmets and waivers are mandatory for all participants. Participants under the age of 18 must have a signed parental waiver.

We are all honoured to skate on Treaty 4 territory, the original lands of the Cree, Ojibwe, Saulteaux, Dakota, Nakota, Lakota, and traditional homeland of the Métis.

The location of the contest is the Heritage Skateboard Park located in Canada Centre Building, the Real District (formerly Evraz Place). The Canada Centre Building is first the building North of the Lewvan Drive Entrance. The skatepark entrance is at the north side of Canada Centre Building.
